I would still be unable to walk a person through on how to locate their friends list if they ask me today. This generations gaming systems have changed this up a bit. PS4 improved its dashboard by making things much simpler. Pop a game in and the dashboard will create a permanent tab on the dashboard specifically for that game. Press X on the tab and youll launch the game. Press down on the tab and youll explore everything related to the game. Friend activities, trophies, dlc availability, videos and more are presented to you and well organized. Wanna watch a video Go to the video tab and select the appropriate app for the video you want to watch that includes Netflix, Youtube, Amazon, etc. The complaint I have for this is that it was a little difficult finding movies I purchased from the store but I guess it was a minimal complaint. XBO on the other hand, took a turn for the worse. Imagine the old xbox dashboard and someone sneezing on it. Everything is everywhere with little sign of order. I was watching a youtube video presented on the dashboard when I decided to sign in on Netflix to watch some Grey Anatomydont judge. When I pressed A on the Netflix app, it created another window on the right side of the screen. This is apparently a feature of this new dashboard that allows you to watch picture in picture. I can easily take a pass on that feature without regrets. Controller A very strong TIEBoth controller is amazing, and both managed to make substantial improvements over the previous generations. Both controllers are much more natural on the hands and the quality was greatly increased. Both changed the location of their dashboard button with the PS4 opting to place it much lower on the gamepad while XBO opted to place it much higher on the gamepad. Either solution works and neither one has a problem with accidentally going to the dashboard during a vital time anymore. The XBO controller improved on the mechanics of the previous controller adding in separate vibrations to the triggers making shooting games and racing games that much more fun. Forza on this new controller was amazing experience. I really dont know if I can ever play another racing game without it ever again. This controller made you feel every bump in the road, the accelerationdeceleration, hitting another car and everything.
